Nullcon HackIM 2017 - Crypto challenges

Inn0vHacktion just participated in Nullcon HackIM 2017. We finished 74th out of 363 teams that scored anything, with 1450 total points, and we’re pretty happy about it! Here I’ll present the writeups to two crypto challenges, #1 and #3… These challenges I felt weren’t great example of cryptography challenges. They were more scripting/bruteforcing, in my mind. But alas, that is their category, so what can you do. I helped around with a few other challenges but these two were 100% my own doing, so without further ado, let’s get to it!

FIC 2017 - Three short writeups

We went to FIC 2017 and participated in both challenges held there. More information here! These are three short writeups on simple challenges we did there. I had to do a presentation to first-year students on how we approach challenges, so I thought basic challenges were a good place to start, and a good excuse to write a blog post down too!

InsomniHack 2017 - Shobot

Last week, InnovHacktion participated in the great InsomniHack CTF. It’s easily one of the hardest CTFs I’ve been to so far, and I can’t wait to try it again next year. We placed 76th out of 1000, but out of those 1000 teams only about 350 scored anything at all. So 76/350 if you want to count that way. We were also 11th in France!
